2003

February
Re-evaluation of the tau data is undertaken. A formal paper is written up and submitted to an astronomical journal in Britain.

August
Our manuscript on the planet detection is rejected. We spend an extensive amount of time going over all the details trying to uncover some systematic errors that would improve the data. The end result is that our data was robust but the inherent noise and lack of phase coverage led to a marginal detection.

November
The decision is made to go back to Arizona and get more data. The 2nd run will allow us to correct all the previous issues and get significantly more data. The two combined data sets from 2000 and 2004 should give very precise results for the orbit and additional phase coverage should bring in the amplitude measurement.
